A collection of free online resources to aid the enhancement of blended learning within your course. These digital tools are available as teaching aid/summative assessment for lecturers and as a means for students to demonstrate knowledge gain via the use of interactive technology.

Google Docs

Google Docs is a digital word processing application which allows you to create, access, edit and share documents anywhere.

It also includes comment tools, editing and chat functions to allow group collaboration in real time. 


Google Drive

Description: Drive starts you with 15 GB of free Google online storage, so you can keep photos, stories, designs, drawings, recordings, videos – anything.


Google Fonts

Google Fonts is a free directory of 600 free fonts which can be easily used for web content or downloaded for wider application. 

 

 


Google Forms

Free creation of forms, surveys, polls and quizzes - a good choice for current Google + and Gmail members as you need to sign in. Link: http://www.google.co.uk/forms/about/


Google Hangouts

Google Hangouts allows you to video call, audio call or instantly message others individually or in groups. 


Google Scholar

This is Google's own educationally minded, academically designed search engine, and is well worth checking out.

Google Sheets

Google Sheets is a collaborative spreadsheet tool, which allows you to add and manage data, analyse and create graphs individually or collectively. 

One of the Google suite of applications, you will require a Google account to use this tool. 


Google Slides

Collaborative presentation tool from Google, allowing online collaboration in creating and presenting a slide presentation. Accessible online anywhere, and has Powerpoint conversion features.

Grammarly

Grammarly is a free digital tool which scans your typing and checks for grammatical errors within a browser window. 

It can be installed as a free Chrome or Firefox extension.
