This moodle package should be used to support tutors and students during academic tutorial sessions. Not all sections are mandatory and tutors will select the most appropriate ones for their groups to complete. The sections can be completed as individual or group activities.



This Moodle page contains a range of resources to support learners to realise their potential. There is a particular focus on study skills development to ensure you have the strategies to achieve your very best. These resources have been specifically designed to support learners who may have a disability, learning difficulty, mental health need, neurodiversity, or long-term health condition to succeed in their studies, although it is likely to be useful to learners from a range of backgrounds.

The annual staff appraisal window opens between October half term and 15th December 2023. All staff are entitled to and must have an appraisal with their line manager. This is your opportunity to look back on your achievements, agree targets for the next 12 months and discuss your career aspirations and any training and development needs.

Welcome to Level 2 Site Carpentry Apprenticeship. This is approximately a 2 year course the quickest you can achieve it is a 1 year and a 1 day (minimum).
The course is to make you the students to become
industry standard site Carpenters or Kitchen fitters underpinning the industry Knowledge
surrounding Site Carpentry/Kitchen fitters so that they will be successful and
ready to progress on to Level 3 site Carpentry apprenticeship in the Construction
Industry. To be able to cope with site issues to understand the terminology
that other trades they work closely with may use and help them to gain Kudos
and respect from all trades. These gained skills can also help them in their day-to-day
life skills. They need to gather photo, video evidence of around 15 tasks from
the core subjects which are in training manual but on site with their employer.
They also have a college-based workbook that they need to work through
consisting of 24 tasks from 1st fix roof and floors, 1st
fix Frame and Partitions, 2nd fix finishes and Carpentry Maintenance
and Power tools. Finally, we need to prepare our student to take on the End
point Assessment.
The course is assessed at the end by an Independent End Point assessor (IEPA), The End Point Assessment consist of three Element now 1st is an online Exam (Evolve) 40 multiple choice questions over 60mins. 2nd They will have a Practical Skills test Assessment over 7hrs over 1 day, this currently consist of 3 practical tasks and 1 written take-off While they conduct these tasks, they will be asked 4 questions over the Knowledge, skills and Behaviours 3rd will be an interview questioning assessment (Professional discussion) which will be underpinned by their portfolio’s this will consist of 10 oral questions covering knowledge, skills, and behaviours. Approx. 45 mins, all based on your own portfolio of work submitted via Smart assessor.

This course is delivered either over a 1-week block (Monday to Friday) or a 5-week block (one day a week). It is designed for both Level 1 and Level 2 learners.

This qualification aims to provide learners with knowledge and understanding across a range of key subject areas in health and social care. Welcome to the YC Edge Basic Car Maintenance Enrichment Program. Under normal circumstances we would have you in our workshops conducting vehicle checks that would hopefully save you some money and expand your knowledge on the modern motor vehicle.
However, we will be producing some short tutorial videos that will hopefully allow you to carry out some checks on your own vehicle.
